A more detailed overview of the day
Bang & Olufsen A/S, together with SoundHub Denmark, will present a
selection of its activities.
From Bang & Olufsen, Communications Specialist Brand & Heritage Jette Nygaard will review the creation of a B&O product, based on our extensive exhibition of lab models, prototypes and finished products.
Next, Director of Sound Quality Geoff Martin, originally trained as a Tonmeister at McGill University in Montreal, will speak about the thinking behind the digital 18-way loudspeaker Beolab 90. With its power, its precision and its controlled directivity, even with “old-fashioned” stereo, it presents a
sound stage so convincing that I previously thought it could only exist in the
imagination of marketing people …
If he has time, Senior Acoustics Specialist Jakob Dyreby, who has been responsible for the acoustics and the algorithms, will also drop by.
Look forward to an unforgettable demonstration by Geoff Martin.

After lunch, the audio incubation centre Sound Hub Denmark, located in B&O’s former development department Fabrik 1, will show what they have “on the shelves”.
Many diverse audio ideas from across the globe have launched their beginnings here to become start-up companies. This has taken place under the leadership of former B&O Technology Director Peter Pedersen supported by extensive testing and laboratory facilities, as well as associated
experienced craftsmen and engineers.
At the Hub, there is still room for more companies, and one can obtain a desk with internet access and the opportunity to draw on both facilities and network for very little money or establish an entire department for an existing company.
Looking forward to seeing you in Struer,
Knud Bank Christensen
